Bouteflika New President A CONTROVERSIAL VICTORY Former Foreign Minister, Abdelaziz Bouteflika is now Algeria’s seventh President. Mr. Bouteflika was elected following a campaign that ended with the withdrawal of six candidates, leaving him as the only final contestant.
